Dinky Diner in Goldfield

DEFINITELY GO EAT AT THIS PLACE. Not only do they serve probably some of the best French fries in the country, but Kerry who owns it has a special spirit and you’ll feel good on every level after eating here. I got a veggie burger and it was unbelievable. There is not a single thing I could dislike about this diner. It’s a real unique experience that you can’t pass up.

This PLACE! literally a MOM and POP restaurant it has a few tables! An out House for show. The mom and daughter are super cool! Food is awesome and they are SUPER friendly. Food is great! Cool little spot to enjoy the day also 😎

Soooooo good! I had the patty melt. Also the water tasted better than the fancy still water you have to get everywhere in Vegas.

The only restaurant in Goldfield. Was understandably busy so service was slow. But that's okay. Actually good decent food. Even let me bring my own beer in the restaurant.

Had heard about this place several years ago...and as advertised.You wont find the food winning any James Beard awards in the near future. But as should be for a home town diner. It definitely is dinky with not even 20 seats.We had a sufficient bowl and chili and greasy patty melt. French fries were awesome!!! Service was hospitable although food took a little longer than I would have expected for being the only ones in between lunch and dinner.Worth a stop as really only place in Goldfield anyway.Overall, better than most meals we had while driving around Nevada.

this place was one of my favorite stops on a road trip, i felt so welcome here. the pizza is amazing and so is everyone who works here, I was in the area for the Area 51 chaos and Carrie gave us a scavenger hunt and pins to pass out and she was overall a joy to talk to. I stopped by again to say hi but they were closed :( I hope to return though, This is a place I’ll never forget it was out of this world 👽

5-2-20This little place is great!The food was fresh and delicious! Prices are fair for the quality and quantity. Homemade greatness!The owner is really cool! We went during the Covid-19 craziness so no dining inside but there was plenty of seating outside.We will definitely stop here again next time we are back through this area!

Good food. Friendly people. Prices were fair.We stopped here on our way to Winnemucca, NV. We had the chili omelet and enjoyed it a lot. They make their own chili there.The restroom was small but clean. Nice rest stop. You need to check this out.

What a treat. I stopped a few days ago in an effort to avoid eating at a restaurant in Tonopah (a perilous business). Great grilled cheese sandwich, interesting and very tasty potato salad, and hot coffee for lunch, along with friendly service and surroundings. If you drive from the Reno area to Las Vegas, or the reverse, plan on stopping here and you will not be sorry.

A most excellent diner pretty much out in the middle of nowhere! Such a cool town too! Lots of history.

I'm a long haul trucker, and it just so happened this trip I had my family with me. We stopped by Dinky Diner to grab some food since we were all hungry from the long drive. I gotta say, I've been to many small diners, but none as good as this. I wish I could rate 10 stars. The food was awesome, the service was superb. Carrie the owner more than just served us. She welcomed us in and took care of us like family. The food was amazing. If you're hungry, its worth the wait. Support the locals, not the corporations.... I definitely will be stopping by again on my next trip through Goldfield.

The Dinky Diner was wonderful place to stop and have a meal in Goldfield. Good home style cooking at a great price, surrounded by old Nevada charm. The chicken fried shrimp with country gravy is a must try item. Owner and operator, Carrie, treated us like family.

Great breakfast! Definitely recommend stopping in and saying hello to these two very nice ladies who make a mean English muffin sandwich!

Absolutely worth your time. There’s something special about a small town diner where the owner knows everybody and really feeds the town. Biscuits and gravy will keep me going all day. Thanks to Carrie the owner who seems to take care of everyone.

This little diner has great burgers and the owners are wonderful. Great folks that are doing the best they can to help their community out during the hard times. If you are passing through Goldfield stop and grab some breakfast, lunch, or dinner you won't be disappointed.

Plenty of great food and service.

Food sizes were huge!!!! Carrie and Chef Tony were amazing!!! He is an awesome cook and she was the kindest, so friendly and accommodating to our huge family!!!! Fried mushrooms were fabulous along the fettuccine and whiskey burger all so yummy!!! Oh ya and homemade pizza that was out of this world!!!

My husband and I take a lot of road trips so we have eaten many breakfasts at restaurants, cafes and diners. Our breakfast yesterday at the Dinky Diner was among the best I’ve ever had! The eggs were cooked exactly as I had requested, the fried potatoes were delicious and the toast was perfectly buttered. Rounding out the great food experience, the staff were just lovely - friendly, responsive and efficient. I HIGHLY recommend the Dinky Diner!

Amazing food! Amazing service! They are "the only place to eat" in Goldfield but WELL worth it. It's a new stopping point. You must get the lemonade!

So, I questioned why nobody was wearing a state ordered mask and the lady told me not to come back if I had a problem with it...i was treated very poorly because I'm worried about catching covid 19. Don't eat here because they don't care if they spread covid 19.....dont stop here

My 2nd time here. Very good food reasonably priced for such a remote and desolate town. 1 of 2 places open for food. Burger was thick and cooked just right and overlapping the bun. Usually the other way around! Cozy atmosphere. Room for a couple RVs or big rigs in the back.

I saw the pictures of the food while I was in tonopah and honestly around these areas this is the best place for breakfast, even better than most places I’m Las Vegas. Had to try it out for my self, me and my family went without expectations and it was so worth it, the food was delicious and legit home made food. The mother was the cook at the time and I can say she has skills. The French roasts were kinda small compared to what I’ve seen but the pancakes and everything else was in good portions. Would definitely come here again and recommend to anyone in the area. The dining area was very clean but the bathrooms could have used some cleaning not that anyone would go to this place for the bathrooms so it’s unimportant.

Lovely little diner. The waitress was so helpful when I asked for the WiFi password. She came back to make sure I was connected and got in okay! The food will take awhile to prepare because there’s only one person cooking, but it’s absolutely delicious! Stop by if you have time to spare.

HORRIBLE!!!(IN MY OPINION) We did a take out order and it took over 30 minutes. They waitress dropped our burger on the floor AND SHE WENT TO PUT IT BACK IN THE 2 GO CONTAINER!!! Thankfully not only did we see it... SHE SAW THAT WE SAW and she asked for it to be made again!!. If you are driving through and are hungry, my suggestion is to KEEP GOING!
